Earthship Biotecture

The Earthship biomes outside of Taos, New Mexico (and all over the world) are a great solution to excessive waste (tires, appliances, cans repurposed as construction materials), ever-increasing drought (greywater is used to water plants then flush toilets), and destructive energy consumption (passive solar, thermal mass insulation, photovoltaic panels & windmills grant independence from the power grid).

It was beautiful to finally get to see them in person during my spring break Southwest road trip!
