Building upon the legacy of the Chicano/a and civil rights movement, the Ovarian Psycos Cycle Brigade are a ferocious and unapologetic group of young women of color cycling through the barrios and boulevards of East Los Angeles, committed to collectively confronting racism and violence, demanding (and creating) safe spaces for women.

The Ovas are more than just a bike crew — they’re a new generation of women of color building a movement.

We’ll hear from Xela de la X, AKA Cihuatl Ce, Ova founder, MC, community organizer, and Ovarian Psycos documentary filmmakers Kate Trumbull-LaValle and Joanna Sokolowski, this Tuesday Feb 12 from 3-4pm PST. Tune into Feminist Magazine at 90.7FM, streaming live on www.kpfk.org/listen-live or check out the podcast here.
