Resources for Environmental Service Learning

On Tues, April 28, the Educators Consortium for Service Learning will be hosting an exciting meeting at the Center for Early Education. Service learning practitioners will get the chance to share their work from the year and discuss with colleagues. I am excited to be sharing the Green Ambassadors program, where students have been working in teams to explore sustainable community solutions such as composting, rainwater harvesting, healthy food, energy efficiency, and native plant gardening, among many other ideas. High school interns train with community organizations and professionals to lead workshops, build hands-on environmental learning spaces on campus, mentor middle school students, and produce educational media.

Below are just some of the resources that I’ve gathered to help students get started on their projects.
