I had a great conversation with Julie Holly from Three Keys Investments where I shared some of the bumps in the road in my first year of real estate investing. I met Julie at the Rod Khleif Multi-Family event in Los Angeles in early 2020, and we hit it off immediately when we found out we both worked in education! What a nice surprise to find someone as passionate and committed to social change in a room full of real estate investors. More proof that the two aren’t mutually exclusive… 🙂
We got a chance to catch up a few weeks later for Episode 2 of her podcast, “Ask Me How I Know.” It was super fun to chat about our journeys in education and real estate, and tell the story of my transition into this field. I also shared about my first challenge as a landlord, and how I was able to maintain my integrity and avoid an eviction. I’m honored to have gotten the chance to tell my story on her show!
