I got a certificate in Construction Management so I could better serve my clients. Looking up permits and knowing construction is an important part of due diligence when buying real estate. Also being familiar with zoning and if you can or can’t build an ADU on your property. (Hint: in all of California, you can!)
Accessory dwelling units (ADUs) are residential granny flats/garage conversions which are perfect for house hacking.
I also help build new units of affordable housing in LA. This particular job in the pic is 8 units for formerly incarcerated veterans. We are starting lease-up in July. This was a trash filled vacant lot, and now it will be home!
