They asked if they should redo the carpet and paint before listing and I said absolutely not.
That’s what I believe — sell the house as is and let the buyer make their own choices!
Yes, everyone wants a pretty, renovated house, but also if you’re buying a property it’s easy to make some changes like floors and paint. And then you get to put your own touch on it.
We were very lucky to find wonderful buyers who were excited about this location, and had a vision for how they wanted to bring this place up to date!
My sellers bought this as an investment property, and after running the numbers on both keeping it as a rental and selling, chose to sell… and did very well!
