Congrats to my seller for getting into escrow on her 2 bed 2 bath condo!
Nothing is certain until closing day but one week on market and multiple counter offers later, we are under contract.
To be honest, I am rarely on this side of the deal as I work with a lot of buyers. I tend to talk a lot of people OUT of selling because I don’t think you should wait to buy real estate; I think you should buy real estate and wait.
If there’s a way to keep the property, refinance, rent it out, and buy another one, I’m here to help make that happen, even if that means I don’t make any money. My goal is to help people make good choices with real estate. Period.
But sometimes, people want to sell for their own reasons. If people didn’t sell, no one could buy! So it’s all good.
I also don’t really believe in Instagram staging or renovating most properties. I think pricing it correctly is the way to go — no games, no show. Capitalism is super weird but the market really does decide who is willing to pay what to live somewhere (when you’re talking just people who have access to purchasing property.)
So I’m just reflecting on all that this week, doing what I do best — which is get my client what they want — and also being super compassionate to folks on the other side trying to buy in this market.
As always, running my business with integrity is the right way to go. It feels good to help my clients meet their goals and also be a good person while we’re at it!
