“This is a long overdue review for the most fabulous realtor I could have ever hoped for, Sammy Lyon! My partner and I were on the housing market in Los Angeles since November of 2020. Initially we were working with a realty agency in which we were passed off to 3 different realtors who could only show us houses on the weekend. One of the realtors made racist and classist micro aggressions and seemed to think that the word gentrification was a positive word for “cleaning things up.” The experience left us really disappointed. We reached out to our queer friends for recommendations and were told to reach out to Sammy.
The day we decided to break up with the realty agency we called Sammy and told them a little bit about what we were going through and our frustrations. Sammy was an amazing listener. They immediately set us up on their housing list and we made an appointment to view a house. We viewed 2 other houses with Sammy shortly after. My partner noticed a house that had a price drop one day and we both loved it and told Sammy right away. Sammy arranged to see the house that very day after we finished work. We met the owners in passing, which was another good omen. We absolutely loved it!!!
Sammy helped us sort out the terms of the offer and was nothing but supportive and enthusiastic the whole way through. Then we got our offer accepted and made it through the closing! We have been in our new home for 2 weeks now and we could not have done this without Sammy. Sammy is empathetic, energetic, knowledgeable, smart, and just a really sweet person!
